The Neighboring Blog

cr: neighborsharz.com

So... I made another blog.

No, it's not quite like this one where I can ramble and ramble about anything and everything I wish day in and day out.

It's a more specialized blog, I guess you can say. It's called Bella Quaintrelle and it's going to house stories - 100-word stories to be exact that are inspired by pictures, most of which do not belong to me.

The stories are all original down to the characters and the dialogue and all that. I've started writing through fan fiction and I lost count of how many ships I have. I won't stop now. Haha

So, Bella Quaintrelle... You're probably wondering where I got the name and all that. Head on here and read about the disorganized (in my opinion) way it came about.

I haven't written much considering I started the blog a few days ago on April 9th, my 20th birthday, but I have a few favorites from what I've done so far - Freedom, Eyes, Drinking Buddies and Sugar Coated.

If you wanna read more, feel free. Don't expect much, I guess. But I do hope you'll like them :)

Dear Writer, From A Fellow Writer

Ever since I began writing fan fiction, I've always valued my talent or skill in writing. I've been doing this for about eight years already, writing fan fiction under wrestling (yes, believe it or not, it exists), Vampire Diaries and, most recently, KPOP.

Through the years and with every story I write, it overwhelms me to read every compliment and comment from fellow authors and readers (Thank you, thank you so much for them once again). I honestly think I've improved when it comes to how I write, how I tell a story. When I started, I wasn't good at all. My earlier stories make me cringe because they're awkward and there are so many things I wanna change, so many mistakes that I wanna correct.

Despite how much I think I've improved, there is still such a long way to go for me. I've become better at writing (I suppose) yet there is still so much to learn, so much farther to go... which is why I nearly fell over in shock when an author in AFF asked me to be his/her mentor.

To The Little Angels and Brave Heroes This World Has Lost, Be Happy Up There in Heaven

It's hard to try and wrap my head around what happened in Newtown last Friday. Sure, there has a been a couple of shooting incidents the past years but this probably is the one that pulled on the heartstrings of people around the world more for we've lost twenty beautiful children (aged 6 and 7) and six wonderful, loving educators.

It makes me tear up each and every time I read an article about the shooting and it's so heartbreaking when you think of those families who lost a child just days before Christmas, those children whose innocence are robbed so selfishly from them at such a young age.

What struck me most was this letter a little boy wrote during the shooting nightmare

It's so heartbreaking to see a kid deal with knowing that he can die anytime and the possibility that he will never ever see his parents again. A teacher who survived the incident told about how her students said that they just want to have Christmas and to hug their parents and... just wow. I'm lost for words.

This post I dedicate to the 20 beautiful little angels who left this world and to the 6 heroes who lost everything trying to save lives left. I end this with a GIF I found over in Tumblr - a simple yet stark remember of all the lives lost

May you rest in peace in the eternal kingdom.

Why This is Here to Begin With

To be quite honest, there is no specific reason why this blog exists.

For whatever reason, I just had this need the past few weeks - I need a blog. I can't say I have no creative outlet whatsoever because I do write and post Fan Fiction. Some of my classes in college this semester have journals, reflection papers and all that. I have one too many notebooks and each of them are where I write random thoughts and ideas.

I guess I need one place to put them all in. One place that wouldn't be as troublesome as the headache I sometimes I get.

And I guess that place is the blog.

So here I am, writing this first blog entry when I'm supposed to be reading Arabian Nights for class. Took a while to get all this together. Layout. Title. Everything. Well, it was a lot easier and quicker to find a layout. The title took me longer but obviously, I ended up with To Walk in The Wind, which I actually got from this image over here.

I guess this does suit what I want this blog to be for.

So what will this blog contain? Anything and everything, I guess. Personal things? To an extent. I don't feel like broadcasting every personal bit about me here on the internet. Things I like such as movies, songs, stories? Yup. Definitely. Plot bunnies? Most probably, especially for those writers in AFF who, for whatever reason, decided to drop by in my humble online abode.

I think that it's for now then... Oh, and the image included in this entry is from other-wordly over at Tumblr. If you wanna learn new foreign words, head on over there.

I guess that's it for now. Time to get this show on the road ;)
